Film Faves: Our Absolute Favorites 2019-1970
Over 10 years ago, I started this feature with the idea of counting down my 12 favorite movies year-by-year, going backwards through time. The idea was to literally go year-by-year until the early ‘80s. And then, as less movies were produced, to focus on a decade-by-decade basis dating back to the 1930s.
I got to 1993 on my own.
Three years ago, my wife and I started a podcast that partially ventured to pick up the torch of this concept. Recently, after 86 episodes, we finally finished.
What you have here is Part 1 of a rundown of our #1 favorite movies from each year. As you can tell by the title, this dates back to the year 1970. The titles myself and Shanna had in common for a particular year are in bold. You will also find IMDb links for more information about each title.
Part 2 will date from 1969 to the Silent Era with our absolute favorite movies from that era. If you want to hear our thoughts listen to The Movie Lovers and their respective episodes.
