Film Faves: Our Absolute Favorites, 1969-Silent Era
Over 10 years ago, I started this feature with the idea of counting down my 12 favorite movies year-by-year, going backwards through time. The idea was to literally go year-by-year until the early ‘80s. And then, as less movies were produced, to focus on a decade-by-decade basis dating back to the 1930s.
I got to 1993 on my own.
Three years ago, my wife and I started a podcast that partially ventured to pick up the torch of this concept. Recently, after 86 episodes, we finally finished.
What you have here is Part 2 of a rundown of our #1 favorite movies from each year. As you can tell by the title, this dates back to the Silent Era.
Part 1 dates from 2019 to 1970 with our absolute favorite movies from that era. If you want to hear our thoughts listen to The Movie Lovers and their respective episodes.
